In addition to marine engineering, HUD Engineering is well known for its range of professional, high quality land-based engineering and contracting services.

"HUD General Engineering Services Limited" holds the Group's land engineering business which has been accredited to ISO 9001:2015 for providing mechanical and electrical engineering services and also been registered under the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works of the HKSAR Government. This diversification of business provides HUD the operational flexibility and a competitive edge to survive the changes in the volatile market.

In the aspect of Mechanical Engineering, we specialise in the installation, modification and refurbishment of heavy industrial equipment and plant processes; while in Electrical Engineering, we provide motor overhaul and rewinding, installation and certification of both HV and LV electrical and control systems. Under the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works, we have been registered for the category of electrical and mechanical installation for sewage treatment and screening plant (pumping stations); fabrication of unfired pressure vessels; industrial type electrical installation; and structural steelwork. We are also a Registered Electrical Contractor registered with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department.

As for today, our major clients include Hong Kong Airport Authority, Hong Kong Housing Authority, Architectural Services Departments, Electrical & Mechanical Services Department, Drainage Services Department, Water Supplies Department, Hong Kong Electric, Hong Kong International Terminals Limited, COSCO-HIT Terminals (Hong Kong) Limited, Modern Terminals Limited, Shell Hong Kong Limited, MTR Corporation Limited and SITA Waste Services Limited.

Since 2016, we have also been working on maintenance contract for the Drainage Services Department for electrical and mechanical installations across Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories, with the largest contract sum more than HK$480 million.
