HUD Salvage & Towage (trading as Hongkong Salvage & Towage) currently operates 13 tugs totaling 50,800 BHP in Hong Kong, providing 24-hour towage and berthing services under the call sign "Hongkong Tugs" anywhere in Hong Kong waters. This covers the area extending from Tap Shek Kok to Tolo Harbour, including the areas of Victoria Harbour, Kwai Chung-Tsing Yi Container Terminals and Lamma Island.
Hongkong Salvage & Towage averages over 80 tug moves per day, providing towage services for all vessel types, ranging from passenger ships, tankers, container ships, car carriers and Capesize bulk carriers to call at Hong Kong. Hongkong Salvage & Towage can provide tugs up to 5,000 BHP and 74.5 Tons Bollard Pull. All tugs are "reverse tractor" type with twin 360 degree azimuthing propulsion units controlled by a single joystick allowing for maximum manoeuvrability and efficiency.
